Pension accrual

If you leave employment due to full disability, your pension accrual will continue. After the third year of illness, you no longer owe a premium for this. Not only your retirement pension will continue to accrue without you having to pay further premiums, so will the survivor’s pension. You will also retain your orphan’s pension insurance. If you are partially incapacitated for work, the accrual of your pension will also be partially continued. You no longer owe a premium for that part. You do not have to do anything yourself, your employer informs us if you (partially) leave employment due to incapacity for work.

If disability renders you incapable of working, you will continue to accrue pension rights on your income up to € 137,800 under the flex pension plan. You will no longer contribute premiums towards that accrual. If your income is greater than € 137,800, your employer has taken out insurance for you with Centraal Beheer PPI. To find out more about that insurance, get in touch with Centraal Beheer PPI.

ANW shortfall insurance
If you took out full or partial ANW shortfall insurance before you became disabled, you may continue that insurance. However, you will have to pay the insurance premiums, which will be taken out of your disability pension. You cannot change level of coverage for which you have taken out ANW shortfall insurance. However, you do have the option of ending the insurance whenever you want, using the ANW shortfall insurance form
