As of 1 July 2026, a vacancy will arise within the Board of Trustees of Philips Pensioenfonds for a Non‑Executive Board Member (NUB) representing employees.

How much of a pension increase is sensible as of 1 April 2026, so that every participant can make a good start in the new pension scheme that will apply from 2027? Our Board has recently answered that question. In 2026, we are able to fully increase our participants’ pensions in line with our ambition. We can grant this increase because we are applying the more lenient indexation rules.

This week we received the sad news that Coen Reuvers passed away on 4 January 2026 at the age of 72. Coen was, until recently, a board member representing pension recipients at Philips Pensioenfonds. We knew him as a calm, dedicated board member with strong financial expertise and a sharp eye for the position and interests of our participants.

In recent years, as a pension beneficiary, you received the pension specification for January and the annual statement for the previous year at the same time. From 2025, you will still receive both documents at the beginning of January, but no longer at exactly the same time.

The social partners have made agreements about the new pension plan of Philips Pensioenfonds. In May 2024 it was already announced that the so-called solidarity-based contribution plan had been chosen. All agreements about the new pension plan have now been included in the ‘transition plan’.

In about two years, all our members (active members, pension beneficiaries and members with a non-contributory policy) will switch to a new pension plan that aligns with the new legal rules for pensions. We recently decided on the scheduled date for the switch to the new pension plan: 1 January 2027.

On behalf of the pensioners, Philips Pensioenfonds has transferred an amount of € 97,676.48 to KWF Kankerbestrijding this month. 

Philips Pensioenfonds has received an electoral list exclusively from the Federation of Philips Associations of Pensioners (FPVG). Because this organization is the only one to have submitted a list of candidates and no individual candidates have applied, no elections will follow.

In May, we announced the news that Philips and the unions had agreed on the details of the future pension plan, and that they had decided on a solidarity-based contribution plan. It will be another two years or so before the new pension plan will come into effect, but even though that is far away, we are not sitting still now. The Uniform Pension Statement 2024 is available to all non-contributory policyholders (those who are no longer employed but still have a pension with Philips Pension Fund).
