Philips Pensioenfonds has received approval from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) for its implementation plan and has also received the formal approval decision for transferring existing pension entitlements to NexT Pension, the new pension scheme of Philips Pensioenfonds. This marks an important milestone in the preparations for the new pension scheme, which is scheduled to take effect on 1 January 2027.

In preparation for the transition to the NexT Pension, we have recently re‑examined a number of earlier decisions, such as the compensation arrangement and the way we distribute the financial buffer. We do not do this lightly. Market conditions have changed, and discussions with the supervisory authority De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) have provided new insights that we carefully take into account.

Since 1 July 2023, new pension rules have been in force. The government has launched a campaign and an online platform to explain the new pension rules in more detail: pensioenduidelijkheid.nl.
