Since 1 October, mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl shows you what your pension will look like in three scenarios: the expected pension and your pension if the economy goes better or worse in the future. The scenarios are shown in a net amount per month, including AOW. The inflation (price increase) has also taken into account. So you see an estimate of what your pension will soon be worth. If prices rise and we cannot increase your pension through indexation, then you can buy less when you retire. Mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl is a website where you can see your total pension income. So not only the part that you have built up at Philips Pensioenfonds, but also your pension with any other employers and your AOW.
Where can you find this information?
If you log in to mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl, you will see a 'Preview' tab. Here you can see how much pension you have built up now and how this pension can develop in the future in the three scenarios mentioned. From 2020 you will also find this information on your Uniform Pension Overview for the pension that you accrue or have accrued with Philips Pensioenfonds.
Why do we inform you in this way?
On the Pension overview that you receive annually, you can always read that the amount of your pension is not fixed. From now on you can also see what the impact on your pension can be if it is going well in economic terms. We are not the only pension fund that does this. It is laid down in the law that from now on pension funds must provide this information.
Why can your pension vary?
The amount of your pension is not fixed. We can only increase your pension through indexation if there are sufficient financial resources. And your pension can also be reduced in exceptional situations. The following issues play a role in this:
- Low interest rates make pensions more expensive. Philips Pensioenfonds therefore needs more money to be able to pay the same pension.
- People are on average getting older. As a result, we have to pay the pension for longer.
- The results of our investments may be disappointing.
